Consular legalisation of Mongolian documents
Countries that do not use the apostille require a chain of certifications: a notary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and finally the consulate of the destination country. We plan the chain, submit the documents and collect them at each stage.
How the chain works
First, a Mongolian notary certifies the document, its copy or its translation. Next, the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs certifies the notary's signature and seal. Finally, the consular section of the destination country's embassy confirms the ministry's certification.
Each consulate has its own forms, fees and processing times, and some are accredited to Mongolia from a neighbouring country. We know these differences and prepare the file accordingly.
Countries that need consular legalisation
Typical destinations include the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Thailand needs legalisation until its apostille accession takes effect on 28 February 2027. For Germany, Austria and Belgium see embassy legalisation.

Frequently asked questions
Are consular fees included in your price?
Official fees are listed separately in the quote at cost, so you can see exactly what goes to the ministry and the consulate and what is our service fee.
What if the consulate for my country is not in Mongolia?
Some countries cover Mongolia from an embassy abroad. We arrange submission there by courier or through our network and tell you the expected timeline in advance.
Do I need to attend in person?
Usually not. In most cases we act with your documents alone; when a consulate requires a personal appearance or a signed application, we prepare everything and tell you where and when.
