Embassy legalisation in Ulaanbaatar
When an apostille is not accepted, the embassy of the destination country confirms that a Mongolian document is genuine. We prepare the file, book appointments where needed and translate the documents into the embassy's required language.
Germany, Austria and Belgium
Germany, Austria and Belgium objected to Mongolia's accession to the Apostille Convention, so a Mongolian apostille is not valid there. Documents are instead legalised or verified through the embassy responsible for Mongolia. Germany, for example, may arrange a verification of the document's content, which can take several weeks.
Starting early matters. We tell you the expected timeline when you request a quote and prepare the file so it is complete on the first submission.
Other embassies
We also work with embassies whose countries require legalisation of particular document types, and with embassies issuing their own certificates for visas, study or work. Tell us what the embassy has asked for and we will match the documents to the request.

Frequently asked questions
Why won't Germany accept my Mongolian apostille?
Germany formally objected to Mongolia joining the Apostille Convention, so the Convention does not apply between the two countries. German authorities rely on the embassy's legalisation or document verification instead.
How long does embassy legalisation take?
Anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on the embassy and the document. Verification procedures take the longest. We give you an estimate before you commit.
Can you handle the whole file for a visa or marriage abroad?
Yes. We collect the required documents, translate them and complete the legalisation, so you receive a complete set for your appointment.
